Default Fishing Report 6-27-08

Fishing has remained consistant even with this hot weather as water temps continue to rise and the mayfly hatch is getting into full swing. Walleyes have been all over the place from weeds to rocks to mud flats. With this scatteredness moving from spot to spot has been essential as you will find more in one place than another on any givin day. Leeches and crawlers are starting to take hold with the bug hatch. I am still using minnows but less and less everyday. Light jigs worked in the weeds with a minnow or leech have been the ticket while over the rock the leeches and crawlers have been the best with an occasional small mouth attacking the line. Over the mud flat it has been all three trying one and swithing to another if it has not been productive. I am starting to use a lot more slip bobber fishing suspended fish as these fish will rise up in the water colum. Good luck and keep those lines tight.
