Fishing Report by Tanner Wildes
Panfish action is still good in this heat. Look for them in 18-24 feet of water on cribs, use small jigs instead of live bait.
Largemouth bass are loving this heat and are biting well in green weeds on jigs, soft plastics, and topwater baits.
Smallmouth bass are on rocks and gravel. Use crankbaits and jigs during the day and topwater in the evening and early morning.
Northern pike are biting well in the green weeds now on spinnerbaits and stickbaits.
Walleye action is best during low light hours this time of the year, look for them on deep wood, and in green weeds on slip bobbers and leeches a foot off the bottom.
Musky action is similar to walleye fishing, it is best during the morning and evening. Look for them in green weeds with jerkbaits, bucktails, and topwater lures.
Water temps are around the 80 degree mark, so try not to stress out fish to much that you want to release.
