Default Break in period for jets

I wanted to get some opinions on the break in period for a new jet, how long? Or how many thanks of fuel ect? I have been gradually bringing it up on plane and then staying about half to 3/4 throttle

Is the motor brand new? I would follow the owner manual for the motor's break in, even if it ment to fish a lake and not worry about being on plane or not. Follow the RPM guidelines for breaking in the new motor.

If an old motor and just a new jetbowl I wouldn't think it would have a break in period, not much to them mainly just bearings. You could call outboardjet.com and ask them. I've called with a few questions over the years and they are very helpful. Once you've busted the bowl up and messed with the impeller and sleve you'll see there really isn't much to them, simple concept, lucky they got a copyright right away. I'm guessing that is the reason no one else makes them??

Good luck with it. Remember, when it doubt, mash it!
I just had my boat welded this week....lol......so that doesn't always work!!!! LOL

    Hope that helps?
