Thread: Fishing Lake Erie's Western Basin Getting Better Every Day

Default Fishing Lake Erie's Western Basin Getting Better Every Day

We headed out to Niagara reef and perch fished right next to the Green Can and caught a nice limit of Perch. Than we began the search for some toothy walleyes with still not much luck. We casted some weapons and parrish peas on the shallows of Niagara reef and only caught 1 walleye. The next day we headed out to the 46/06 line North of west sister island and limited on perch in 2 hours with a huge box. We decided to try for walleyes again and ran to cone reef and only caught 2. The fish in general are really starting to move back into the western basin due to cool nights and water temps are holding around 66 degrees surface temp.
