Nice Weather and Perch

[Swamp Rat]

Started out of the yellow gate saturday and did fairly well. Same area as last weekend in 25fow. Ended up with 16 nice perch. Plain hook with a wiggler was the ticket again. Only caught 2 fish on minnows. Sunday morning was a little slower. Only caught 1 keeper before 9:00 so I decided to go deeper. It paid off. Went straight across from the kipling boat launch in 38fow. Put my lines down and started marking fish right away. Ended up leaving at 1:30 with 21 nice perch. Couple of them being 14 inches, couple 12 inchers and the rest 9-10 inches. Only differents here was they were feeding on minnows instead of wigglers. Most of them being caught off of tip-ups. The biggest one ended up spitting up 9 minnows once I got it on the ice. Must of been very hungry. That one was also caught on a jigging rap. Hopefully I can get back out there next weekend and get some more. Think I`ll be taking the snowmobile after this week of warm weather coming.

Good to here a about the perch action.I think i know the spot ur talking about,2miles out from the launch?If so i did awesome there last year around this time...Jeff
