Got out this evening in the upper bay north of Gladstone. Me and my five year old son. It was windy and really churning out there tonight! Started out anchored by Butler Is and caught a few perch. Then we decided to try our luck out a little further drifting harnesses with bouncers. The wind blew us from the other side of the little green can that marks the point of the island toward the old wear house. Landed 3 eyes in 2 passes. 15, 20, & 22. I lost another at the boat. (felt like a nice fish) I let my son land the 15. It was his first legal walleye. He helped me net my second fish and I was impressed with how well he did considering the ruff conditions. It was a good night dispite the wind and waves. All fish came on a hammered copper harness from walleye's choice. Cant remember the number.
