Where to find smallies

My family is wanting to come up to the area the first two weeks of July in 2010. Really like catching smallies. Don't care what area of wisconsin just don't want to drive clear up to Minnesota again. We are from Lafayette Indiana and would like to keep the drive under 10 hours. We don't need much, just a roof over our heads and something fun for the kids. Where should I look at staying/fishing? Thanks.

Call R&R Bayview resort. They are offering some great deals right now on stays.

For fishing, try stumps and gravel areas for smallies. Sometimes they are in the weeds but you will get more on gravel humps and stumpy areas.
