Black Bear rock is actually accross the channel to the right. This is the northwest shoreline of what our family once called Tom's Island(island north of Guetch's). From the picture, if you pan right there is a sand bar in the middle between blackbear rock and this shoreline. Cheif is directly behind you.

    Is this close enough?

Gee. Now I am wondering if I know where the spot is ? If my memory is correct, tait, you are still mistaken. You are REALLY close but that rock you see is not where you described.

Oh, is that the rock on the north shore of Chief? Is it the one to the east of your milk run spot? About twenty yards down shore from that shallow area?

    Default He got it.

Absolutely correct, Mr. Ty ! Way to be.

Bear Rock would be behind the camera, Tom's Island to the right, and you can see Tyner in the background. The boat would be just off that nasty little rock bar that wants to bip my lower unit if I am not with the program.

That island off to the right, the one across from Guetches (we still call the resort Lawrences Resort), really needs a name. Tom's Island works well for me.

I'll buy lunch next time we go fishing.

    Exclamation Cracker Island

That spot is Cracker Island. Legend has it that a big fish trophy from the GCFC is buried on Cracker.
