I also fished here below the dam and this is one stretch of water that is just brilliant. Cool super clear water most of the time. Never saw or caught anything close to that monster but some very nice fishing in those parts and again it's simply a beautiful place to be !!!

I was fishing in a Trout tourney at Connellsville's Yough River Ralley Days a few years back when I put a 8.3 LB. Brownie in the net! I was carrying that thing to the weigh in like I was walking to the BANK! Sure that I was taking home the $500 first prize. when I got there I found out there was already 9 Trout entered bigger than the one I had! I ended up with 10th place and a prize for a Free Membership to the club who was holding the tourney that was worth a whopping $10!!!! Unfreakin real!LOL

The winner was a 10.2 LB. rainbow! They stock some lunkers for this event every year! They put in 25 to 30LB. Catfish too!
