    Default Spring is here

This last weekend there was all sorts of birds flying including these two Swans. Every year there is a pair that hang around about this time of year.

The ice conditions were still good, with 23 inches. Drove the truck out, but will be the last time. Fishing was good with a mix bag of crappies, perch and bluegills.

Keep your stick on the ice,

    Default Spring

Kathy and I made a trip down to Robinson Landing with the hounds this last Saturday. The two swans passed over us heading down the Flambeau River as we sat back on a rock, taking in the sun and sipping a cold adult beverage. The dogs sure enjoyed exploring the open water again. Life is good in God's country!

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

    Default Another sign of spring

You know its springtime when Mini-me and Flambeau Fluffy are sprouting their pussy willow antlers.

Boy will spring ever get here?

    Default Nice fish

Gus, was that one of those big dead walleyes coming out of the Big Eau Pleine Flowage? Anyway very nice first fish of the year, every thing else is all down hill.

Bet you forgot about this one caught on a cork,

Yeah, I've caught 'em like that. Of course, catching a fish with a mouth that small takes a tremendous amount of skill. Truth be told...most of the time I thought my line was hung up on something because the bobber wasn't acting quite right!
