5/17 Fishing Report (Finally!)
As the river dropped below 9000 cfs, we decided to hit the water on Sunday while targeting muskie/trout. We had plenty of musky action but could not get the (4) fish to bite at boatside. I was happy to see some very nice sized fish moving on our lures but the last fish was the one that stung the most when Craig pulled his bait before hitting an 8 and we both watched a stud swim under the boat and out the other side.
We did take an hour break around lunch and netted 2 solid trout while missing 2 more before getting back to the toothies. We fished from 7-3 and had action spread across the whole day, which was kinda surprising with the water fluctuations and big sun popping out in the afternoon combined with gin clear water.
Water temps ranged from 52-56 depending on proximity to the dam.
Good luck and safe travels!
