High water releases have begun!

To compensate for the melted snow and recent rains, the Res needs to empty some water. So, be prepared.

Judging by the USGS site, it looks like the outflow went from 9000 cfs to 1000 cfs in a matter of a couple hours. That’s a significant drop in a very short amount of time. I hope there is not a recovery mission happening somewhere downriver.

2 days later, the outflow jumps back up to 8000 cfs! Very abnormal. Maybe ice jams downriver are to blame……..
