Morning Muskies 8/15
The brothers from Texas and myself set sail yesterday hoping that one or both of the bros could stick their first muskies. We hit some different water in the early part of the morning and had some good action during the first 2 hours. We had 3 muskies follow up tight but just wouldn’t eat. Ed managed to pop a very aggressive walleye soon after we saw the muskies. That was it for us. We fished until noon-ish and tapped out.
Water temps were around 72-74 and the river flow has been running a little high for several days, unfortunately. During these drought conditions, the ACE has to begin drawing down some reservoirs so the barges can float in Pittsburgh. Hopefully, our local boats can stay docked until Labor Day concludes and do not need to be pulled from the Rez early due to low water.
Good luck and stay tuned!
