Muddy Musky Hunt 6/28
The river was in great shape until Friday nite’s storm pumped mud into the river. Gary and I decided to give it a shot Saturday morning since he was already in town. I had to remind myself of one of the best musky fishing days we ever had (back in the late-90’s) in super muddy conditions. (We netted 7 fish in 5.5 hours and had to quit because all 16 rods/reels had frozen up solid.)
We managed to net a nice mid-30’s pike after bouncing around to several different spots. There was still some debris washing thru the system…………Mainly from the Conewango and Glade tribs. After 7 hours of little action, we tapped out.
Water temps upstream were 63 and 67 downstream (of Warren).
Good luck and Happy 4th!
