Ice Fishing Report 1-18-11
Got out today with a good friend, Matt McCumber who put a show on "how to catch pan fish". With a history of some big crappies in the area we set up some tip-down and Matt and I also jigged from several holes. 1/80 oz jig and purple or orange tails were the color of choice. With weeds about 5 ft down we jigged just above them. Slow jigging was the method they wanted. Tip-downs had little action which included a few cut-offs.
Any body notice the wind today? We did. Ice is about 18-inches thick.
