On Wednesday, Nate and I spent 8 hours trying to catch a musky. Or you could say, the muskies spent 8 hours trying not to get caught on Wednesday. Either were true. Nate had 2 nice fish follow in tight but since this was his first musky trip, he was a bit clumsy in trying to convert at boatside.

Water temps were on the drop, air temps were on the drop and several rain showers kept us damp for most of the day. Nate did manage to score a decent smallmouth to keep the skunk out of the boat. Barely.


The Allegheny Reservoir continues to fall as extra water is released to keep the barges floating in Pittsburgh. We really need a long, soaking rain event around here.
