The past two days has once again proved productive in the shallow 4 to 7 foot depths over scattered weed patches and brush piles. Invasion jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or fatheads have by far been the most productive, still not much action on leeches. Different type of bite yesterday, lots of short hits until we applied stinger hooks to our jigs, big difference, caught most of the short hitters with this method. Crappies and pike were by far the most aggressive but perch and walleye weren't that far behind. Canceled todays trip due to severe weather threat, back out tomorrow. will keep you posted.
