After a crazy week of weather and a 4.5 degree drop in river temps since Sunday, we had our work cut out for us. It took awhile for things to warm up a bit as we did not see anything until a low-40’s fish showed herself during late-morning behind Sam’s bait but only did a half circle of the 8 before disappearing. Luke had low-30’s fish follow him up around 12.30 in some new water I hadn’t fished yet this Spring. Around 1:30, Hal stuck a decent pike holding very tight to structure after purposely bumping into the branches.👍.

On Saturday, we downsized our baits and suffered thru more frozen fish inactivity until Hal smoked a nice bass on his mini-sized musky bait. A couple hours later, Sam had a low-30’s musky show up very late and very slowly to boatside and then sank out of sight.

We quit 2 hours early as we saw a rough/colder weather warning coming our way so we cut our losses. The muskies won today. As soon as I got home, rain/hail storms pounded my house for a while.

Safe travels and good luck!
