Has anyone been reporting catching muskies on the rock shores down near Chippewa lodge in the South East part of the big lake?
Tuesday and Wednesday we limited on northern pike. Headquarters and Boy Bay gave us the most time. Plenty of action but not too much in the larger fish. Good eaters though. Casting with Red Eyes...
Walker has changed a fair piece mostly because of the resort business has changed. I have heard that there used to be over 150 fishing resorts on Leech back in the 50's and 60's. I suppose only two...
Wonderful. Addicting isn't it. Just curious, how many follows did you have? Which was better, rocks or weeds? Once again congratulations.
The cold front sure seemed to make a difference. Our group boated a dozen Pike near Bear Island.
Anyone see Muskies moving? How is the weed growth at Two Points.
Hit West Bar, Submarine, and Two points. Didnt move a thing. Water is still very clear. Ended up casting for northern east of Bear and did OK.
IMO-med-heavy. 7ft.
FYI-The larger sized fly is now beginning to hatch. Way ahead this year. Last year it didn't start until June 29.(see previous posts from last year)
Glad to report the skies are in the shallow rock reefs today. First day out. Will try the 10-15 ft weeds tomorrow with any luck.
Murph,
Are these warm temps putting the skies over the deep weeds and rocks yet? Heading up next week. Hopefully the skies are getting somewhat predictable. Any skies on rocks and reefs around...
I would respond but I like this board.
C'mon guys. I know the govt shut down is over but do you really think an officer would give you a citation for not having a fishing license when the government cannot issue one? A jury would laugh...
Just arrived to Leech on the East side. Looks like the bigger flies are beginning to hatch.
I have heard that the Walleye eat the flies in the water as they rise to the surface. True or not?
Need help on the latest of the Mayfly hatch. If I remember the first hatch are the smaller flies and probably already have cycled. Any one know if the larger sized second round flies have come? ...
I moved a couple of good sized fish at Pelican yesterday. Any reports of the fish working the weeds in Portage yet?
