7/18 Musky Hunt

We did a little mixture of fly fishing and conventional tackle yesterday. Surprisingly, the fish did not show any love for the fly. We did have a nice musky strike at boatside but did not get the hooks to stick around 9:30 plus another follow around 10. We did get the net wet for 1 of Marvin’s largest pike around 1:30.

Given the conditions we were dealing with, expectations were high that we would stick a musky before day’s end. No such luck.


We will be back on the river Friday looking for muskies, again.
