5/22 and 5/23 Bend a Rod Weekend

We had some fun just trying to bend a rod over the weekend. We caught several bass on Saturday but none appeared to be adult fish....no spawning scars and no egg bellies either. I think most of the big bass already spawned and are recuperating. Sunday was much tougher regarding numbers but we did catch larger bass and all were post spawn fish. We also caught a smallish musky on bass tackle. Water is in the mid to upper 50’s and definitely on the rise.

No walleye sightings for us either day.

After our little musky outing on Thursday, I am not so sure that most of the big bass have spawned. They may just be running a little late grooming their beds.
