Both lakes are down over 2 feet as of this morning, With the weather forecast for the next ten days looking at temps from the upper 30's to near 60 degrees the river should start to open below Nekoosa. It won't be long now.
As a side note: The Old Mill in Arkdale is changing hands. The new owners take over operations on Friday March 6th. Don't know if the smoking policy will change, we'll have to wait and see.
