August 17th and 18th fishing report

I had Phil Cali out on the 17th and he went 0 for 4 on hits. It's not that he didn't set the hook. he broke the rod on one fish and still didn't get it. We had two right at sundown that seemed pretty darn big on topwater. didn't get either one.

Yesterday we lost one in a figure eight in the first five minutes that was about forty inches and then had one follow ten minutes later. That was it for the whole day. Pretty slow. The lightning drove us off the lake in the evening so no fishing at sundown.
