July 3 (Chippewa Flowage)

Guided Bill and his son Tom. I lost what felt to be a very heavy fish but never saw it. Tom boated his first top water musky on a Tap Dancer. Toms fish came on the last cast of the evening and man was he excited. This was a perfect example of the size of the fish not effecting someones excitement level. It was a small 33.5 but to Tom it may have 50". I think some times people get too wrapped up in the total inches and lose the overall pleasure of simply boating a musky. I know I'm very guilty of this. It was very refressing seeing the moment a father and son shared in toms first top water fish. Thanks guys for a great time on the water.
