LVD this past weekend report

We had a consistent action all weekend long resulting in a 5-man limit of northerns. Most of the fish were between 20" and 24", a couple topping 26" taken in 13 - 14 FOW on tip-ups set half way or higher in the water column. There was another group near by fishing shallower (guessing 8 - 10 FOW) and we could tell they had pretty good action too. Pike didn't show any preference to suckers or shiners. Some of the fish were caught on Jigging Raps, Swedish Pimples and Lindy Darters tipped or naked. One was caught on a perch rig (Genz worm tipped with a small minnow)!
As for walleyes, the only fish we saw was in a bucket left in the garage by the other group. We didn't hook any probably due to lack of effort on our part.
