hey blue sorry I didn't see this until today. don is a friend of mine. i was following him around in my little c-liner. I had been to that spot a couple of times. we had musky gear in the boat but didn't throw much. fishing was slooow that day. we caught a few walleye and that was it. have a good winter there, sir.
One of my favorite places! I spend many a Friday or Saturday night at Dibbo's and Dick's when I'm not up north - one of the few places on the east side of the Cities that still has live bands that play my kind of music. I did see you fishing off the tip of Siefert's Point - Don seems to hit that spot pretty regularly. Is he a friend of yours, or is he still taking some clients? Muskies often hang out on the dropoffs at the tip of the point or the little island and adjacent rock pile (currently submerged) straight out from it at this time of year, but Friday wasn't the day.
