Well it's about dang time you showed up, Baz. What took you so long, eh?? Hope Gramma B is doing well.

I think most people know that busy web hosts and resort grunts don't have time to fish. You hogged all the bigger fish last fall anyway! I had to get two little ones for every nice one you landed.

Besides, I haven't been able to find my walleye rod for 2 years now so I can't even go walleye fishing. I know, I know. It's the same place as that one lure retriever and a couple of other things that have vanished into thin air.

I lost the 2 biggest fish I had on last summer :( so there wasn't much to choose from for pictures. I did put the big fish from the 2008 trolling season (48.25") as my avatar and profile photo. Isn't that good enough?

Here are the two personal best fish that my wife caught trolling last October. She got a little uneasy when the muskie came in the boat so she snapped one of me holding it. Both fish were caught Oct 11, 2008.

Yes, I'm a little shy about putting my own photos on the website. Mostly, I feel guilty when I'm out there fishing and having fun because I worry about not being there to take care of the guests. Perhaps Daryl will finally retire next spring (hmmm, I sense this might be a recurring thought already) and I won't have to worry so much.

Muskie was 44".
Northern was 36" (released.)

Yes! I agree! it is about time that Bazil showed up. After all it's not like being in his boat is tying up very much of his time lately, eh?

Hey I will be up for Musky opener, any idea were they hang out in high water and cold temps? I pretty much fish them in warm weather July mainly. also doing an August Musky only trip with the guys. Can't wait and hope the weather warms up, down here in Illinois it is chilly to and only been out once for coho on lake michigan 7 fish in 2hrs size ranged alot no stead size, small to medium largest was 14lb king.
You still can't beat musky fishing but on the other hand Justin never say never, I got hooked on that lake trout and salmon fishing no I have down riggers and all the other stuff and I to said no way... yea right.
see you in 8 days.
M.O.M.

I think you are correct baz! She should be more leery of him than the fish. I'm not so sure that he didn't con her in to letting him hold the fish so that he could get on camera with a decent one. At least you let Ronda hold her own fish when she outfishes you, eh?

Good job Crestliner! Nothing will drive new perspective buyers to your company like current owners being jacked around on promised delivery dates for warranty work. Don't these companies get the concept of "Customer Service"?

Ok, so how do I come out ahead in this situation? Now any pictures I DO post are fish my wife caught and LET me hold for the camera.

HMMMMMMM. That doesn't sound good!

I honestly didn't get very many picture worthy fish last year. What do you want to see? The 44" from September? A 39" northern from the summer? A couple in the 40-43 inch range? That's about all I can offer from 2008.

Hopefully I can keep the bigger ones from falling off this summer. There were 3 that broke me heart while casting in '08. Including one biggie in particular that I can still replay in my mind that was up to the boat just out of net range twice, but was snout hooked and barrel rolled it's way out of the single hook that was in it from the 7/0 treble.

Here is the original of the 48.25" from last October and a release photo of it as well.

Sheeeeeesh...you have to remember I spend most of my time pumping gas, mowing lawn and launching boats with the John Deere, eh!

Bazil,

I've promised/threatened to take him up in to Whitefish Bay to hook in to some Lakers. Now he'll never have any $ in his pocket.

On the topic of fish pictures, we may need to require a note from hi wife that the fish is really his and not one she caught and lets him hold for the photo. She looks trustworthy.

HA! Multi-species huh? Yeah, I guess I could claim that. I caught an eel pout, sucker and sturgeon all in the same day! I don't think anyone wants to see a picture of my personal best 29" sturgeon though, Baz. Too bad we didn't lose the biggies we had on, eh? Curtis showed us who the man is/was those two days.

Maybe next time they will have Macademia nut cookies at Holiday so our whole routine isn't thrown off course from the get go. We just can't get motivated without the reward of a cookie after the first fish in the boat of the target species. Hard to believe they were cleaned out of them 2 days in a row. Darn renovations!!

You leaving your coffee on the counter at Holiday and then leaving it in the truck the next day was even more damaging to your mojo though. Pretty funny stuff!
