Almost felt like being out in the Bering Sea tonight. 4 footers in a 16 foot boat is almost the same as 40 footers in a 150 foot boat, right?:rolleyes: Well worth it, though. Had my limit of walleyes and pike in about 45 minutes. Should have been more like 20 minutes if I hadn't lost some of the first few fish. Trolled Bombers and Thundersticks in 7 to 10 FOW. Ended the night landing 6 walleyes and 1 pike, losing 4 or 5 other fish. Not bad for an hour and a half of fishing.
Ford River should be cranking with all this south wind. My dad limited out pulling shallow cranks there Wednesday night. Wind is supposed to stay out of the south most of Friday, then switch to the north. As long as the water stays dirty, the bite should be good.
