Ty, I know you've covered this before but I can't find it in the old posts. I have a wooden pacemaker (the smaller size) and broke the middle (clicker) hook last weekend. I was just wondering the size and style hook I need to replace it and if the eye needs to be taken out or can I just open it up to get the old hook off. Dave.

Not to step on toes, but I believe it is a #4 eagle claw treble hook...and i think I had to take it off to replace it...(You might be able to attach a split ring, which would allow you to keep the eye hole screw anchor in the bait so you dont have to fool around taking it in and out, but I am not sure if that will screw with the flow and/or plop) when you look at the treble hook, there are 2 hooks that are attached with the third being welded on...cut the welded on hook...

Not to step on any toes either, but I think Snizz meant a 4/0 774. I think you can maybe just back the screw eye out a turn or so and then bend the eye out a little? Then just squeeze it shut and screw it back in.

Yep, it's the eagle claw 774m 4/0. lay the hook on a table with the welded on hook upward. Cut the hook to the right of the welded on one. If you cut the wrong one it doesn't work. If you put a split ring on it doesn't work. If you have the screw in the wrong position it doesn't work. The best thing to do is borrow a friends pacemaker and copy the way that one is.

Or better yet, own more than one Pacemaker and copy your own. Or your other 2. Or more.
