Is there a recommended way to track limit numbers for the individual species while on the water? Myself and 4 others have a pontoon boat rented for a week with two 20 gallon live wells that we'll be keeping our collective catch in. Will DNR want to know who's fish are who's if we're given the once over while on the water? We thought about the colored tags or a chart of some kind. Or as long as our collective numbers are with in range would we be ok? We just want to keep ourselves out of trouble.

Also if there is a recommended manner to store and tally the frozen fillets as the week goes on. We were thinking those air tight shrink bags, or again are we worrying about this to much?

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

when you get your license make sure to get a copy of the Regulations--It talks about possession and daily limits and also how to account for them. You can't catch over your limit to give to another fisherman--Once your limit for that species is reached--that angler can't continue fishing for that species or keep fishing to try and cull through his limit---Just read the regulations I think you will understand after reading them.
