Just wondering if anyone on here has fished either Deer Lake or Bone Lake in Polk County Wisconsin (near Balsam Lake, WI)? I'm from the Twin Cities and hear a lot of talk about how great these lakes are for muskies. Any info would be great!

I'm thinking of hitting Bone Lake early Saturday morning.

I fished the Chip Flowage on Saturday for Crappies and found them however they were small, saw a nice muskie sunning in about 2 feet of water, that was pretty cool.

I fish Bone a fair amount, a friend of mine has a place there. It get's a tone of pressure, both angling and rec. It has a curly leaf pond weed bloom in the month of June (usually) which takes over the lake for the most part. With this said, it does have a lot of fish. Mostly in the mid 30" to low 40" range.

There has been a pretty significant harvest due to native spearing the past two winters. The count is somewhere north of 300 fish. Pretty sad.
