I went out with my parents for a couple hours on the 11th in the evening for walleyes. We caught a lot of fish but only a hand full of walleyes. We kept 5 good eating sized ones and threw back a smaller one. We caught them on crankbaits in the weeds.

I also did a half day yesterday and we kept four small ones and threw back a bigger one. Same deal, crankbaits in the weeds. We lost a lot of fish yesterday. Lots of short hits. I think we would catch more on leeches and minnows but it's a lot more fun to cast crankbaits for the bigger fish. We did get a token little muskie and some bass, northern, crappie and a perch.

Half day this morning. We get to go play in the wind.

Hey Ty, what were the water temps & how deep on those eyes. Also don't care to much for live bait, do you ever use GULP leeches 5"? Thanks

Most of the fish we are targeting are in the 6 to 8 foot range. You don't really need live bait unless they are really finicky. I've hear those Gulp products work well but haven't used them.
