Coming in to Chief lake from Tyner take a left and hug that shore. You are on the shoreline across from Chief lake lodge?

Ty, close enough. We're fishing the cribs just inside Chief as you described. There is sort of a little bay right there on the left.
That spot produced a 33" muskie for me during the Hayward Fall Tourney 1986 on a Suick that put me in the running for one day. That was that. hahahaha
A little farther down that shore line, several casts later, something bit off that Suick as in those days I was using mono and NO leader. Since then, I gave up mono and now always use a leader.
The Suick floated up a few minutes later, so I was thrilled.
