Just wondering if anyone knows if the ice is out on Butternut or other area lakes? Will be up turkey hunting next week and may want to get the boat out once before opening weekend.

Butternut Lake opened on Friday (04/17/09). The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage is about half open and refroze this morning, along with two inches of snow.
Thanks for the update Tiny - will be up there late tomorrow night. Turkey hunting part of the days and hope to get a little perch fishing in.

The ice went out on the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage last night. The remaining ice blew up on the west shoreline.
