Now that Lake Alice is closed what are your feelings? Do you think it will help the Walleyes or do you think a slot would of been better? Just wondering what everyones thoughts are.

They still need a slot on Alice. If they want big numbers of fish they have to protect the big females all year round not just in the spring. A slot is the only way to do that.

adding a slot would be good but i talked to DNR a couple years ago and they told me no way so i guess protecting the spawning females is all they would do i think it will be better than nothing

Thats what the D.N.R. told us to (no slot) I would think it would help, maybe?

Slot limits work. I have no idea why they wouldnt want to enact one.

Can anyone tell me aboit the pine creek Im wondering does it go into alice can I get a 14ft fishing boat with a 9hp merc thru it-is there any fish in the creek itself-and what species-If I can get from creek to alice off D how long or how many miles is it.Any info would be appreciated.TJMAC
