Although the wind has been cool, the sunshine has been a welcome companion while fishing the past few days, and has the current water temperatures in the low 40 degree range, depending on where you're fishing. The walleyes bite has been a bit more 'hit or miss' than in previous springs, at least to this point, likely due in part to the lower water levels and reduced current flow. That being said, there are certainly fish to be caught! Yesterday began rather slow, but the walleyes made up for it as the late aftenroon/evening bite was excellent, resulting in multiple, fish including doubles, on each of our passes. The forecast is certainly promising that the bite will only get steadier as well...
