The best ice fishing of the year for panfish is upon us. The bite should continue to get stronger as we go along through March and into early April, ice conditions allowing.
This morning I went out for a couple hours and iced some nice Pumpkinseeds. Smaller ones out numbered the big ones by two to one, but provided good action. This evening I'll try to get out for Crappies. We still have good ice, thirty inches or so.
