I am heading down to Kinkaid later this week. This will be the first time I am down this early in the season, and I have a couple questions.

1. Is the water drawn down, like many other reserviors? How is the current water level?

2. Ramp access? On the Hotspots map they show 2 ramps north. One in Sharp Rock Neck and one in Johnson Creek Neck. Are these both accessable for use right now? I have only used the ramp at the marina.

Thanks
Ken

Johnson Creek ramp is fine, but very narrow and shallow. Also, even though I have never personally had a problem, there have been reports of things (tailgates if I remember right) stolen from there as it is kinda isolated. Usaully busy enough on the weekend that it shouldn't be a problem. Good luck and please report back.

I fished Johnson Creek area for a couple hours today. Water temps are 39-42and it is muddy. Tons of baitfish up that way. We got 2 today, but both came from the main lake area. I hade to break through some thin ice by the boat launch up there.

Hope this helps!
