Red,since it's the time of the year that there's not going on ,don't you think it would be a great idea if the master shared some of his knowledge with the "un-learned"? The river has a great diversification of species of fish, could you give us a rundown of what you think an angler could catch, april to october, let's say, from the dam down to Tidioute.

JT,

I saw your new fabricated deck photos at Kneal's yesterday......very, very nice. The 1/4 inch steel will be beefy to say the least.

As for what to catch between April thru October..........walleye, trout, bass, musky, pike, HUGE white bass and the occaisional "lost" sauger and saugeye coming up from the 3Rivers area.

Let's say the outlfow is during normal summer level which is usually 950-1800cfs and the local weather is bright sun for these VERY general statements:

April.....trout, musky, pike, bass

May.....same as above but add walleye(legally)

June....same as above but midday trout begins to taper off later in the month

July....same as June but trout, walleye and musky becoming more influenced by weather, outflow and how much competition we have from the Spring spawn

August.....many of the largest fish of all the species mentioned are feeding during prime times of morning/evening/overcast-stormy conditions/rising outflow will get them in the mood anytime of day

September....same as August but daytime feeding will being to pick up

October........shorter photoperiod and falling water temps will induce longer and more frequent mini-feeding windows.......White Bass and big browns are going nuts in certain areas.

I stood right beside it for an hour or so watching "Rabbit" fix and mount your kicker motor. I really like the underdeck storage your boat has......pretty neat how the layout allows you to access the storage. I was surprised to hear your boat will travel in about 7 inches of water (with a jet) plus have the ability to do lakes as well. Those 12-degree hulls really provide lots of lift.........
