I was out this morning, got a late start. I fished from 9-12:30. I was north of Kipling, but south of Days River. 17-18 FOW. The water was so clear I could see to the bottom! Lots of small perch swimming around down there. Caught a few but nothing big enough to keep. I could see some larger ones down there but I could not get them to even look at my bait!!!! I knocked one on the head and that still didn't seem to faze it. Better than working. I think! :( The ones that I got to bite hit a smaller minnow (1-1 1/2) hooked through the tail with a plain hook and just off the bottom (6-12 inches).
