Greetings-I just bought a cabin on Chief Lake. Wondering how this area compares to the rest of the flowage and what to expect. I mainly am a walleye nut. Thanks guys

Chief Lake can be a good walleye area. When I was a kid it was what I would consider the best part of the Chip for walleyes. The one thing to remember is that it's clear water so night fishing is the best way to catch any sort of numbers or size. Try crankbaits and jig and live bait on weed edges and gravel shorelines after dark and you will crush them.

Congrats on the new house,

I think that Chief Lake is a boating lake. There is alot of traffic during the summer, but i did catch my fist musky over there. I fished for walleye near Tiger Musky Resort, its in that general area. The bogs/ Floating islands always produce walleye early morning is the best. Good Luck this year.
