Walleye and Perch

Just looking for a decent area where I can try for walleye morning and evening and maybe get some nice eater perch during midday. I'm bringing up a buddy and last time we were skunked. I'd hate to turn him off to ice fishing altogether. I'm not asking for anyones GPS coordinates, maybe just a general area and a depth to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wondering also, what to use for perch. Thought about some type of smaller rattle jigs, tipped with either a minnow or a little bloodworm or waxie. I keep telling him that the fish are just a bonus and we could be at home doing something worse...just being away from home for a few days is worth the trip to me!!! Thanks again.
