It is 7:12 am and it is way too cold to fish. We had about 5 days of mild weather and we are now 3 days into a new cold spell. Looks like by tuesday we will be back to normal or better. Here are some pics from the warm spell, have been catching some nice fish close to home. As soon as the weather gets a little nicer we are going to try for some Lakers and hopefully get into some big Northerns as well. The past few weeks have been dedicated to Crappies and perch as Bounty Fishing has been running a series of Micro Tournaments, today is the last day of a Perch Tourny then its Walleyes for the next 7 days. We have a tough time competeing with the Big Greenbacks in Manitoba and also the greatlakes fish so we take Walleye weeks off, after Walleye Week its LargeMouth Bass(North), If you would like to follow the tourny action or just post some of your pics check it out, it is a very cool site. I am jratthelake on Bounty so if you sign up add me to your friends list, there are a few Witch Bay'ers on there already.

Today has been by far the warmest day on the ice and it looks like it will be warmer tomorrow. The fishing has been good and with the warmer weather should be able to work a little more effectively, not having to reopen holes every 30 or 40 seconds was nice and so was not having to wear gloves, sunscreen was an option today. I'll be fishing hard the next few days looking for big Crappies, Bounty Fishing is running a Crappie Tourny next week and I want to be ready. Here are some pics of todays action.
