Fished from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,1- 171/2" walleye and a bunch of "DINKS". We moved out deep to try to get some perch to no avail. Marked alot of fish but not many takers. Moved back in for the night bite about 3.00, started marking fish right away. Quite a few hits but must have been small fish because they would just grab the minnow head. Moonshine shiver (red grape) did well
except for the little fish. It still beat working all day!!!!!!!!

Good Luck to all

Thought maybe I was just set up in a bad spot, but 10# Hunters experience echoed mine. Fished all day in 36'.... had 3 nice perch and a BUNCH of small walleye. Lots of lookers and light bites this evening. When I started out in the morning I figured I had the makings of a great fishing day and that's exactly what it was.....just not a good catching day. Still just GREAT to be out on da ice!!!

My dad fished about an hour this evening on the west break off the Terrace. He ended up with one short walleye, one 16 inch walleye, and a 27 inch burbot. The walters were on a #5 glow Jigging Rap and the lawyer hit a Rattling Flyer spoon. He said he marked lots of fish, but just those few takers. Some of them were probably whitefish.

Got out on the ice and set up by 4 p.m., fish didn't start coming through until around 5:20. Lots of fish for about 15 minutes or so, managed to land one 22 incher and some small ones. Kevin and Theresa were out deeper than I and marked way more fish, but could only manage one keeper too. Very slow afternoon bite. Fish were there...they just didn't want to play! Maybe the solunar table was right...it said that yesterday was going to be one of the slower days of the month. Oh well...you go fishing when you can. We'll try it again Saturday.
