Just thought I would give you a little update for western basin lake report. Most everyone has pulled there boats due to very cold and windy lake conditions. Some brave soles have been going to lakeside pier, like me and Willey(first mate also boared to death) and Catawba State Park, Mazuric and Marble Head Lite house and have yet to land any nite fish from shore...This is very unusual because big shad are cruisinf the shoreline and big fat walleyes are usually beefing up for winter here. The fellow fisherman at Huron OH pier are also complaining about no fish...The only theory I can come up with is there is so much bait due to a mild winter last year that the fish are stuffed like when you go to Ryans...Going home for Thanksgiving for a week I will start reporting first week of December see if these toothy critters may show up..Thanks for your many views to the website...I will keep writing if you keep looking try to reply some time.Captain Tom
