We will target walleye and bass this evening for a wedding anniversary gift and then chase the same species tomorrow morning with a different crew. Thursday will be especially nice as I will be spending the day with the regional representative of the Wounded Warriors project from Pittsburgh. He was recently re-assigned and is coming back to the US after 7 years in Germany.

Good luck and stay tuned!

Wednesday evening was pretty good considering we barely fished 4 hours. We netted several nice smallies and they kept getting larger as darkness fell on us. 2 of the 11 bass we netted were in the 3-4 pound class. We did get a few short walleye and 1 legal.

Thursday morning started out hot as we picked up where we left off 7.5 hours earlier. We caught four 3-3.5 pound smallies before our first legal walleye hit the net in some very thick fog. As the sun hit the river finally, the fishing began slowing waaaaaaaay down. Between 11 and 2 we averaged 1 hit/hook-up per hour until the final bell sounded. The skies got blue and the cool, dry wind kept us in long sleeved shirts most of the day. Floating grasses/weeds have started already and continuing to worsen each day.

Fall is coming for sure.

Good luck over the holiday. Andy and I are hoping to hit Chautauqua on Sunday nite and Monday morning. We shall see if it happens.

Stay tuned.
