Had somebody ask me on Facebook about a place called Charlie's that was at one time a good place for pizza. I don't ever remember a place by that name. Ring any bells with anyone? Posted a few new photos from Memorial Day weekend. Spent a day and a half in the boat, watched lawnmower races in Fifield and took a run up to Morgan Falls west of Mellen which has finally reopened after severe flood damage back in 2016.

Charlie owned “The Last Resort” on French Lake in Springstead up until around 2003..after that he cooked his pizzas at “The Birches” on Boot Lake in Springstead for awhile.

Once upon a time on any evening you could make the rounds by hitting Timber Chicken, Borgi's SLL, D&L Resort, Charlie's, Frontier Inn, and Gus & Doris' SKL.
