a musky does something else that really surprises you. I had a small follow today and he was very hot and closing in during the 8. I really did not want to fool with a 30" fish (because we were in a good area and I did not want to risk wasting my clients precious fishing time unhooking a fish that size) so I collapsed the 8 and he lost sight of it. 99.9% of the time they just sink out of sight or swim away......this guy just sat there right beside the boat 2ft. down and did not move. I put the lure back in the water and pulled it in front of his face and that did not effect him. Finally, I put my rod tip in the water and poked his tail but still no movement. Then, I touched the top of his back gently a few times and he slowly sank out of sight.
