Back out on Sunday for a half day trip with 3 guests and had a fairly good catch. Once again working shallow weeds, 4 to 5 foot with 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads, we found the fish very scattered and buried in the weeds but we did manage to boat 6 nice eyes along with a 17inch largemouth and two jumbo perch, might note that one guest had a huge musky on but after a short battle in the shallow it pulled free, possibly the best thing as we only had a small net with us.
Back out today with a friend to do some scouting, always a good thing to locate new hot spots, will keep you posted.
