The opener for the 2015 season is now a week away. Conditions for much of the area will find walleyes in transition stages as most fish will have spawned due to the early ice out but not yet be in the weeds as with lack of sunlight and warmth there will not be enough weed growth to hold the fish. I would predict that fish will still be in around shallow flats and wood anything that will warm up throughout the day and attack the baitfish. Good luck I will try and give more updates as we get closer to the opener and throughout the season.
